The specialty
Pondless waterfalls
A stream of water tumbling over natural stone, then disappearing into gravel. No open pond to fence off or clean. Just the look and the sound of a waterfall, sized to your yard.
Pondless waterfalls · Fire pits · Lighting · Metro Atlanta
We build pondless waterfalls and in-ground fire pits, finished with warm lighting, for homeowners who want a calm, beautiful backyard to come home to. The sound of moving water by day. Firelight on natural stone by night.
01 · What we build
La Vista means "the view." We build the one you will look at from your kitchen window and your back porch for years: moving water over natural stone, a low fire, and warm light that holds it all together after dark.

The specialty
A stream of water tumbling over natural stone, then disappearing into gravel. No open pond to fence off or clean. Just the look and the sound of a waterfall, sized to your yard.

The gathering place
Set into the ground and ringed in stone, so it feels like it has always been there. A place to sit with family on a cool Atlanta evening.

The add-on
Warm, low light on the water, the stone and the path. It turns the backyard into something you can enjoy long after sunset, and makes the walk out safer.

All three together
Our signature setup. A pondless waterfall, an in-ground fire pit and the lighting to connect them, planned together so the whole backyard reads as one calm view.
Ask about the full setupPhotographs on this site are mood images that show the feeling we build toward. They are not projects we built. Your preview sketch is drawn from a photo of your own backyard.
Close your eyes on the back porch and all you hear is water moving over stone. That is the feeling we build for.

02 · Why pondless
A traditional water feature means an open pond: standing water to fence, clean and worry about. A pondless waterfall keeps the part you actually want, the look and sound of falling water, and hides the rest underground.
The water runs down a stream of natural stone and disappears into a bed of gravel. Below it sits a hidden basin. A quiet pump sends the water back to the top, and the waterfall runs again.
Nothing open for a grandchild to wander into. No pond to skim. No still water for mosquitoes to settle on. Just moving water and stone, where you can see and hear it.

The water collects underground, out of sight. What you see is stone, gravel and moving water.
With no standing pool of water, there is nothing deep to fall into. Little ones can play nearby while you relax.
No pond to clean, no fish to feed. Day to day, it mostly asks for a little water now and then and a sweep of leaves.
A steady, natural sound that softens street noise and makes the backyard feel like its own quiet place.

03 · How it works
No sales pitch at your kitchen table. You send a picture of your backyard, we show you what it could look like, and you decide from there.
Take a picture from where you would sit and enjoy the view: the porch, the patio or the kitchen window. Upload it below with a few words about what you would love to see.
We sketch a preview of a waterfall, fire pit or the full water, fire and light setup in your own yard, so you can picture it before anything is dug.
Once you are happy with the plan, we build. Most small projects take about one to two days. We keep the work area tidy and walk you through how everything runs.
Turn on the water, light the fire and sit down. That first evening on the porch is the reason we do this.

04 · Send us a photo
Send a photo and a few words about what you have in mind. We will reach out to talk it through and sketch a preview of your backyard. There is no cost for the preview and no obligation.
We will look at your photo and reach out to talk about your preview.
05 · Service area
We work in the established neighborhoods of DeKalb County and around metro Atlanta, the kind of streets with big trees, deep lots and backyards that deserve a better view.
06 · Questions
If yours is not here, put it in the form with your photo and we will answer it when we reach out.
It is a waterfall and stream with no open pond at the bottom. The water falls over natural stone, drains into a gravel bed, and collects in a hidden basin underground. A pump sends it back to the top, so it runs in a loop.
That is one of the main reasons people choose pondless. There is no standing pool of water to fall into. The basin sits underground, covered by stone and gravel.
Much less than a pond. There are no fish and no pond to clean. Mostly it is topping up water from time to time and clearing leaves off the stone, especially in the fall. We will walk you through it when the build is done.
Most small projects take about one to two days once the plan is set. Bigger setups, like the full water, fire and light evening, can take longer. We will tell you what to expect when we share your preview.
Every backyard is different, so we look at your photo and talk with you before we give a number. The preview sketch costs nothing and comes with no obligation.
No. A pondless waterfall can be sized to fit a corner of a patio or run along a garden bed. Send a photo and we will show you what fits your space.
Yes. We build in-ground fire pits and add lighting to any project. Planning all three together, water, fire and light, is how we create the full evening view.
No. La Vista Paradise is a new Decatur company, and the photos and videos here are licensed mood images that show the look and feeling we build toward. Your preview is drawn from a photo of your own backyard.
